Overheat Protection / Dry Pot Condition
Display shows OvHt or Overheat and unit stops cooking

Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in pot, Thick sauces sticking to bottom, Blocked heat dissipation vents, Faulty thermal cutoff or NTC sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool. Do not add large amounts of cold liquid to a very hot pot.
- Check liquid level: Open the lid when safe and verify there is enough liquid. Add water or broth if the contents are too thick or nearly dry.
- Deglaze the bottom: Use a wooden spoon and a small amount of liquid to scrape any stuck food from the bottom of the inner pot.
- Clean vents: Ensure side and bottom vents are free of dust and obstructions to allow proper cooling.
- Run a water test: After cleaning, cook 2–3 cups of water on a standard program. If OvHt triggers again with plain water, inspect the bottom NTC sensor and thermal cutoff for proper operation and replace if faulty.
