Possible Causes
Normal expansion of metal parts, Loose mounting screws on heating plate, Failing heater relay on control board, Warped inner pot causing uneven heating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the cooker before tightening any screws.
- Differentiate normal vs abnormal: Occasional soft clicks can be normal relay operation. Repeated loud pops or metallic bangs are not.
- Check inner pot: Ensure the pot bottom is flat and making even contact. Replace if warped.
- Tighten mounting hardware: Remove the bottom cover and gently tighten screws securing the heating plate and support frame.
- Listen to relay: If the noise is clearly from the control board area and is accompanied by erratic heating, the heater relay may be failing. Replace the Cosori main control board.
