Possible Causes
Failed main heating element, Blown thermal fuse, Loose heater connectors, Faulty heater relay/triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before accessing the base.
- Test in multiple modes: Try sauté, slow cook, and pressure modes. If none heat, suspect a common heater circuit issue.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom cover and check the heavy wires from the board to the heating plate for looseness or burns.
- Test heater resistance: Disconnect heater leads and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed heating element that must be replaced.
- Check thermal fuse: Locate and test the thermal fuse near the heater. Replace if open, using the same temperature and current rating.
- Control board: If heater and fuse are good, the heater relay/triac on the main board may be defective. Replace the Cosori main control board.
