Possible Causes
Worn keypad membrane, Liquid ingress under control panel, Loose ribbon cable to main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before cleaning or opening the control panel.
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dry. Sticky residue can interfere with button travel.
- Dry out moisture: If a spill occurred, leave the unit unplugged for 24 hours in a dry area.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the control panel cover and ensure the ribbon cable is firmly seated on both the keypad and main board.
- Test individual buttons: After reassembly, test each button. If some remain unresponsive, the keypad is likely failing.
- Replacement: Replace the control panel keypad / overlay. If issues persist, the main control board may also be involved.
