Possible Causes
Failed lid-mounted temperature sensor (for models with top sensor), Broken lid sensor wiring, Corroded lid sensor connector, Control board sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is cool before handling the lid or internal wiring.
- Clean lid components: Remove the lid and clean around any visible sensor housings, especially near the steam vent and inner lid plate. Food buildup can affect sensor readings.
- Inspect lid wiring (if applicable): On models with a wired lid, check the flexible cable or connector between lid and body. Look for kinks, cuts, or exposed conductors.
- Check connectors: Open the base and locate the lid sensor connector on the main PCB. Reseat the connector and inspect for corrosion or bent pins.
- Test operation: After reassembly, plug in and try a non-pressure mode. If E7 appears immediately, the sensor or board is likely defective.
- Replacement: Replace the lid temperature sensor or complete lid assembly if the sensor is integrated. If replacing the lid does not resolve E7, the main control board may require replacement by a technician.
