Possible Causes
Steam release valve left open, Damaged or hardened silicone sealing ring, Faulty float valve or gasket, Lid not properly locked
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized before opening the lid or handling pressure components.
- Check steam release: Confirm the steam release valve is set to SEAL or PRESSURE, not VENT.
- Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring and check for cracks, deformation, or food residue. Clean and reinstall or replace if worn.
- Examine float valve: Ensure the float valve moves freely and the small silicone cap is soft and undamaged. Replace the cap if it is cracked or stiff.
- Verify lid lock: Close and lock the lid according to the alignment marks. Ensure it is fully rotated to the locked position.
- Water test: Add 2–3 cups of water and run a short pressure cycle. Watch for steam leaks around the lid. If steam escapes continuously, replace the sealing ring and float valve gasket.
- Replacement: If proper setup and new seals do not resolve noP, the lid assembly may be warped or the pressure sensor may be faulty, requiring professional service.
