Possible Causes
Food residue around float valve guide, Damaged or missing float valve silicone cap, Insufficient pressure due to lid leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and not under pressure before removing the float valve.
- Clean float valve: Remove the float valve pin and silicone cap as per the manual. Clean all parts and the valve guide hole thoroughly.
- Inspect silicone cap: Check the small cap for cracks or deformation. Replace if it does not fit snugly on the valve stem.
- Reassemble: Reinstall the float valve and cap, ensuring it can move freely up and down.
- Check sealing ring and vent: Verify that the main sealing ring and steam release valve are in good condition, as leaks elsewhere can prevent pressure buildup.
- Water test: Run a pressure cycle with water and observe the float valve. If it still does not rise, there may be a larger pressure leak or sensor issue requiring further diagnosis.
