Possible Causes
Drifted or partially failing main temperature sensor (NTC), Poor contact between inner pot and heating plate, Faulty temperature control circuitry on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool before inspecting internal parts.
- Check pot contact: Ensure the inner pot bottom is flat and free of dents. A warped pot can cause poor heat transfer. Replace if significantly deformed.
- Clean interfaces: Wipe the heating plate and bottom of the inner pot to remove grease or residue that may insulate heat.
- Water test: Add a measured amount of water and run a specific program (e.g., Slow Cook High). Use a kitchen thermometer to compare actual temperature to expected values from the manual.
- Inspect sensor: Access the base and locate the main temperature sensor on the heating plate. Ensure it is firmly attached and its wiring is intact.
- Replacement: If temperatures are consistently low despite good contact, replace the main temperature sensor (NTC). If that does not correct the issue, the main control board may require replacement.
