Steam leaks continuously from the steam release valve even when set to SEAL.

Safety first: Cancel cooking, unplug the unit, and allow it to depressurize fully before touching the valve.

• Disassemble valve: Remove the steam release valve cap according to the manual. Note the orientation of parts.
• Clean components: Wash the valve, spring, and gasket in warm soapy water. Remove any food particles or starch buildup.
• Inspect gasket: Check the small silicone gasket or O-ring for cracks, flattening, or hardening. Replace if worn.
• Reassemble correctly: Reinstall the valve components in the correct order and orientation. Ensure the valve can move freely between VENT and SEAL positions.
• Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with water. If steam still leaks from the valve when set to SEAL, replace the steam release valve assembly.
