Possible Causes
Stuck keypad button, Moisture under control panel, Faulty touchpad membrane, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning or opening the control panel area.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button on the control panel several times. If any button feels stuck or does not click, gently clean around it with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently wiped with excessive liquid, allow the cooker to sit unplugged in a warm, dry place for 24 hours to let moisture evaporate.
- Power reset: After drying, plug the unit back in and attempt to enter Standby and select a basic program. If ERR appears immediately, the keypad or board may be damaged.
- Inspect cable (advanced): If you open the housing, check the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board. Reseat the connector and look for corrosion or damage.
- Replacement: A failed keypad membrane or control board typically requires replacement of the entire control panel assembly by a technician.
