  • Check silicone seal: Ensure the small silicone plug or gasket under the valve cap is present, flexible, and not torn. Replace if hardened or damaged.
  • Reassemble correctly: Reinstall the valve cap, making sure it sits fully down on the stem and moves freely between positions.
  • Test with water: Add 2 cups of water and run a short pressure cycle. If VENT persists despite the valve being correctly set, the valve assembly may need replacement.
