Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before cleaning up spills.
- Check fill level: Ensure you are not exceeding the MAX fill line on the inner pot, especially for pressure cooking and starchy foods.
- Inspect inner pot: Remove and examine the pot for cracks, pinholes, or damage to the bottom weld. Replace if any damage is found.
- Check condensation collector: Empty and clean the condensation cup or channel on the back or side of the cooker. Ensure it is properly installed.
- Inspect body seal: Look around the junction of the stainless steel body and plastic base for signs of leakage. If liquid is seeping from inside the base, discontinue use and have the unit inspected.
