Possible Causes

Burned-on food on inner pot bottom, Inner pot not seated correctly on heating plate, Failed NTC temperature sensor, Poor contact between inner pot and thermal plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before touching internal parts.

  • Check water/food level: Ensure you always use at least the minimum liquid level specified in the Daewoo manual. Running with too little liquid can trigger E03.
  • Clean inner pot and heater plate: Remove the inner pot and thoroughly clean any burned-on residue from its bottom. Wipe the aluminum heating plate and central temperature sensor disc with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry completely.
  • Inspect pot deformation: Place the inner pot on a flat surface; if it rocks or is visibly warped, it may not contact the heater evenly and should be replaced.
  • Check sensor contact: Verify that the spring-loaded center sensor pin under the pot moves freely when pressed. If stuck, gently free it and clean around it.
  • Reset: After cleaning and cooling, plug in and clear the error by pressing Cancel/Off for several seconds, then test with water only.

If E03 recurs quickly even with correct water level and a clean pot, the NTC temperature sensor or thermal fuse may be faulty and require replacement.
