Possible Causes
Open-circuit NTC sensor on heater plate, Shorted NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing any covers.
- Access bottom sensor: Turn the cooker upside down on a soft cloth. Remove the base cover screws to access the heating plate and sensor wiring (on many Daewoo models the NTC is clipped to the heater plate).
- Inspect wiring: Locate the two-wire cable from the NTC sensor to the main PCB. Check for cuts, burns, or pulled-out connectors. Re-seat the plug on the PCB.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the NTC sensor is firmly attached to the heating plate or central sensor well. If it has come loose, re-clip or re-screw it so it contacts the metal surface properly.
- Visual check for corrosion: Look for corrosion on the sensor terminals; clean lightly with contact cleaner if present and dry thoroughly.
If E05 remains after reseating and inspection, the NTC sensor is likely defective and should be replaced with a Daewoo-compatible temperature sensor of the same rating.
