Possible Causes

Open-circuit main heating element, Loose heater terminals, Burned heater connector, Failed heater triac/relay on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is cool before opening.

  • Access heater terminals: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the two heavy-gauge wires going to the round heating plate.
  • Check connections: Ensure both heater terminals are firmly attached and not discolored or melted. Tighten any loose spade connectors.
  • Continuity test (for skilled users): Using a multimeter set to ohms, measure resistance across the heater terminals. A very high or infinite reading indicates an open heater that must be replaced.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the heater wires back to the PCB and check for burned connectors or damaged insulation.

If the heater is open or connectors are burned, replace the heating element assembly and any damaged wiring. If the heater tests good but E08 remains, the heater control triac/relay on the PCB may be faulty and the board should be serviced or replaced.
