Possible Causes

Blown thermal cutoff fuse on heater plate, Poor airflow around base, Repeated overheating events, Shorted heater causing overcurrent

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker. Do not bypass the thermal fuse for operation.

  • Check ventilation: Ensure the cooker is used on a hard, flat surface with at least several centimeters of clearance around all sides and bottom vents.
  • Access thermal fuse: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the small cylindrical or capsule-shaped thermal fuse attached to the heater plate or wiring harness.
  • Visual inspection: Look for discoloration or melted insulation around the fuse. Ensure its leads are firmly crimped or soldered.
  • Continuity test (skilled users): With a multimeter, test continuity across the fuse. If open, it has blown and must be replaced with the same temperature and current rating.

If the thermal fuse is blown, also check for underlying causes such as a stuck relay or blocked ventilation. Replace the fuse only with an equivalent Daewoo-specified part.
