Possible Causes
Stuck float valve, Dirty float valve seal, Faulty lid lock pressure switch, Misaligned lid locking mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and depressurized before working on the lid.
- Clean float valve: Remove the float valve pin and silicone cap (if removable). Clean all parts with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Ensure the valve moves freely in its guide.
- Inspect float seal: Check the small silicone seal for cracks or deformation. Replace if worn.
- Check lid lock movement: Open and close the lid, watching the lock hook engage. Lubricate lightly with food-safe silicone spray if it is stiff (avoid overspray near food-contact surfaces).
- Reset and test: Reassemble, add water, and test a pressure program to see if the float rises and the error clears.
If E12 remains, the lid lock pressure switch or associated wiring may be faulty and should be replaced.
