Steam release valve is very hard to turn or feels stuck

Safety first: Only attempt to move or remove the valve when the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized.

• Remove valve: Lift or twist off the steam release valve according to the Daewoo manual.
• Soak and clean: Soak the valve in warm vinegar solution to dissolve mineral deposits, then scrub gently with a small brush.
• Inspect gasket: Check any internal silicone gasket or O-ring for deformation; replace if necessary.
• Reinstall correctly: Ensure the valve is reinstalled in the correct orientation and moves freely between sealing and venting positions.

If the valve remains stiff or seized, replace the steam release valve assembly to maintain safe pressure control.
