Possible Causes
Loose heater plate, Warped inner pot causing popping, Arcing at loose terminals, Failing relay on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before inspection. Some mild clicking from relays is normal; loud or irregular noises are not.
- Check pot and plate: Ensure the inner pot sits flat and is not warped. Clean the heater plate.
- Inspect heater mounting: From the bottom, verify that the heater plate screws are tight and the plate is not rattling.
- Look for arcing: In a darkened room (briefly and safely), you may see small sparks at loose terminals when powered; if observed, unplug immediately and tighten or replace the affected connectors.
- Listen to PCB: If a relay is chattering rapidly, the control board may be failing and should be replaced.
Do not continue using the cooker if loud buzzing or arcing noises persist; this is a fire risk.
