Possible Causes

Failed base NTC sensor under the inner pot, Loose or oxidized sensor connector on main PCB, Damaged sensor cable from base to control board, Sensor dislodged from heater plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and let it cool completely. Remove the inner pot only when the cooker is cool to avoid burns.

  • Remove and inspect inner pot: Take out the cooking pot and check the metal heating plate for burnt-on food, warping, or discoloration that might affect sensor contact.
  • Clean the heater plate: Wipe the plate gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Ensure the small sensor bump or disc in the center is clean and not covered by residue.
  • Check pot condition: A heavily warped or dented inner pot can cause poor contact with the sensor. Try rotating the pot or testing with a known-good De'Longhi replacement pot if available.
  • Power reset: After cleaning, reassemble, plug in, and test a simple program. If E3 returns quickly, the NTC sensor or its wiring is likely defective.

Replacing the base temperature sensor requires opening the bottom cover and working near mains wiring. If you are not trained, contact a professional technician.
