Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation openings, Inner pot not seated correctly, Failed thermal fuse or thermostat on heater plate, Control board misreading temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Immediately unplug the multicooker. Allow it to cool for at least 30–45 minutes before touching internal areas.

  • Check ventilation: Ensure the cooker is placed on a hard, flat surface with at least 10 cm clearance around it. Clear any obstructions from side and bottom vents.
  • Inspect inner pot seating: Remove and reseat the inner pot, ensuring it sits flat on the heater plate and rotates freely if the model uses a stirrer.
  • Clean underside and vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust and debris from external vents. Do not spray liquids into the vents.
  • Try a low-heat program: After full cooling, plug in and test a low-temperature function (e.g., KEEP WARM). If E4 appears again quickly, the thermal fuse or thermostat may be open or the control board may be faulty.

Internal thermal protection components are safety-critical. Replacement should be performed by an authorized service center.
