Possible Causes

Damaged or hardened silicone lid gasket, Misaligned gasket in lid groove, Debris on lid or pot rim preventing seal, Faulty float valve seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and depressurized before working on the lid.

  • Inspect lid gasket: Remove the silicone gasket from the lid. Check for cracks, flattening, or hard spots. Clean it with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry completely.
  • Clean lid groove and pot rim: Wipe the gasket groove in the lid and the top rim of the inner pot with a damp cloth to remove oil and food residue.
  • Reinstall gasket correctly: Fit the gasket evenly into the groove, ensuring it is not twisted and is fully seated all around.
  • Check float valve: On the underside of the lid, remove the float valve (if removable) and clean it and its silicone cap. Ensure it moves freely.
  • Test with water: Add water to the pot, close the lid, and run a short pressure program to confirm that pressure builds and E7 does not reappear.

When to call a technician: If a new gasket and clean valves do not resolve E7, the pressure detection circuit or sensor may be faulty and requires service.
