Possible Causes
Inner pot not seated correctly on heating plate, Cooking with insufficient liquid, Burnt food stuck to bottom causing hot spot, Faulty temperature sensor calibration or control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before touching internal parts.
- Check pot and contents: Ensure the original Gorenje inner pot is used and sits flat on the heating plate. Verify there is enough liquid for the selected program (follow the minimum fill line).
- Clean the heating surface: Remove the pot and clean any burnt food or residue from the bottom of the pot and the fixed heating plate. Use a non‑abrasive sponge.
- Inspect bottom sensor area: Make sure the sensor under the pot is not bent or pushed down excessively. It should make light contact with the pot bottom when installed.
- Reset the unit: After cleaning and refilling with adequate liquid, unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in and try again.
- If E3 appears immediately: The temperature sensor may be reading incorrectly. Follow the E2 procedure to test the bottom NTC sensor and replace it if out of range. If the sensor is good, the main PCB may be misreading temperature and should be replaced.
