How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker. Ensure there is no pressure inside before working on the lid lock.
- Check lid closure: Make sure the lid is fully closed and rotated/latched according to the user manual. Try opening and closing several times to see if E7 clears.
- Inspect lid lock: Remove the inner lid and top plastic cover to access the lid lock assembly. Look for broken plastic parts, weak springs, or misalignment that prevents the lock pin from engaging the microswitch.
- Test microswitch: With a multimeter, test the lid lock switch for continuity when the lid is locked and unlocked. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
- Check wiring: Follow the lid lock wires to the control board. Ensure the connector is firmly seated and wires are not pinched in the hinge area.
- Replace lid lock assembly: If mechanical parts are worn or cracked, replace the complete lid lock assembly specific to the Gorenje model.
