Possible Causes

Overfilled inner pot, Cooking foamy foods without enough liquid, Clogged anti‑block shield, Rapid pressure release with starchy contents

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Hot food and steam can cause burns. Stand back from the valve during release.

  • Check fill level: Ensure you do not exceed the maximum fill line, and for beans, grains, or foamy foods, fill only to the lower recommended level.
  • Use enough liquid: Follow Gorenje's minimum liquid guidelines for pressure cooking.
  • Clean anti‑block shield: Remove and clean the anti‑block shield and steam path in the lid to ensure they are not partially blocked.
  • Use natural release: For foamy foods, allow pressure to drop naturally instead of using quick release.
