Possible Causes
Loose transformer or inductor on PCB, Vibrating heater mounting, AC mains frequency hum amplified by chassis
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before opening. Do not touch live parts.
- Locate source: With the cover removed (and extreme caution if testing live), identify whether the noise comes from the PCB area or heater area.
- Tighten mounts: Tighten screws holding the heating plate and any transformers or inductors on the PCB if they are mechanically mounted.
- Damping: Where safe, add high‑temperature insulating pads or washers to reduce vibration (do not obstruct ventilation).
- Replace noisy component: If a transformer or inductor is excessively noisy, replace the PCB.
