Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed, Lid position microswitch misaligned, Broken lid switch actuator tab, Damaged lid switch wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker before inspecting the lid or internal parts. Never bypass safety switches for operation.
- Check lid closure: Open and firmly close the lid. Make sure the hinge is not obstructed by food debris or a warped silicone gasket.
- Inspect lid lock area: Look at the latch and the small plastic tab or metal tang that presses the lid switch (usually near the handle or hinge). If it is bent or broken, the switch will not engage.
- Clean the hinge and rim: Wipe the lid rim and body rim with a damp cloth to remove dried food that may prevent full closure.
- Test with gentle pressure: With the unit plugged in and in standby, gently press down on the lid while starting a program. If E0 disappears only when pressing, the lid switch or actuator is misaligned.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Unplug the unit, remove the outer lid cover (screws on underside of lid or back hinge area). Locate the small microswitch and its wiring. Check for loose connectors or broken wires and reseat any loose plugs.
- Replace parts if needed: If the actuator tab is broken or the switch does not click when pressed, replace the lid lock / lid switch assembly specific to your Gourmia model.
