Possible Causes

Failed NTC temperature sensor, Loose sensor connector on main control board, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Corroded sensor contact under inner pot

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before inspection. Do not operate with covers removed.

  • Check inner pot seating: Remove the stainless-steel inner pot and wipe the bottom dry. Ensure there is no warping and that it sits flat on the central heating plate and sensor disc.
  • Clean sensor area: On many Gourmia multicookers, a small raised disc or button in the center of the heating plate houses the sensor. Gently clean it with a soft cloth to remove burnt residue.
  • Inspect underside connections (advanced): Turn the unit upside down on a soft towel. Remove the bottom cover screws. Locate the two-wire NTC sensor harness coming from the center of the heating plate to the main PCB. Check for loose or disconnected plugs and reseat them firmly.
  • Check for visible damage: Look for burnt insulation, pinched wires, or corrosion on the sensor connector. If the sensor lead is broken or the sensor body is cracked, it must be replaced.
  • Replace sensor: Order a compatible Gourmia base temperature sensor (NTC) for your exact model. Remove the old sensor from its clip or bracket and install the new one, routing wires as originally.
