Display shows E2 during preheat or cooking; unit stops heating and beeps.

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Do not add cold water to a hot dry pot.

• Check for dry cooking: Confirm there was sufficient liquid in the inner pot. Gourmia multicookers will fault if operated dry. Always follow minimum liquid guidelines in the manual.
• Inspect bottom of inner pot: Remove the pot and check for scorching or warping. A warped pot may cause hot spots and sensor misreadings; replace if the bottom is no longer flat.
• Clean heating plate: Wipe the heating plate with a slightly damp cloth to remove burnt-on food. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembly.
• Check ventilation: Make sure side and bottom vents are not blocked by countertops, towels, or cabinets. Provide at least several inches of clearance around the unit.
• Internal safety devices (advanced): With the unit unplugged and bottom cover removed, locate the thermal fuse and bimetal thermostat mounted near the heating plate. Test continuity with a multimeter. A partially failing thermostat may open too early and trigger E2.
• Replace faulty parts: If the thermal fuse is open or the thermostat is out of spec, replace with a Gourmia-compatible thermal fuse/thermostat assembly. If the NTC sensor tests out-of-range, replace the sensor as well.
