E3 appears shortly after starting a program; cooker may heat briefly then shut down.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and wait for it to cool. Internal electrical checks should only be done if you are comfortable working with mains-voltage appliances.

• Basic reset: Unplug the cooker for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and try a simple program like "Sauté" with an empty, dry pot to see if E3 reappears.
• Listen for relay click: When starting a program, you should hear a faint click from the control board. No click may indicate a board issue; a click with no heat suggests a heater or wiring fault.
• Inspect underside wiring: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the two heavy-gauge wires going to the circular heating plate. Check for burnt or loose spade connectors and reseat or replace them as needed.
• Test heating element: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance across the element with a multimeter. An open reading (infinite resistance) means the element is failed.
• Board inspection: Examine the main PCB for burnt spots near the heater triac/relay. If damaged, the board will need replacement.
• Replace failed component: Install a new Gourmia-compatible heating plate / element assembly if the element is open, or a replacement main control board if the switching device has failed.
