Possible Causes
Failed lid-mounted NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring in lid hinge, Loose connector between lid PCB and main board, Heat damage to lid sensor from misuse
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool. Do not operate with the lid disassembled.
- Inspect lid cable: Many Gourmia multicookers have a flexible cable running through the hinge to the lid electronics. Check for visible cuts, pinches, or fraying.
- Remove inner lid: Detach the inner lid plate and gasket. Look for a small sensor embedded in the lid or attached to the inner plate. Clean off any heavy residue.
- Check connectors: Open the lid cover (screws on the underside) and locate the sensor connector on the lid PCB. Reseat the connector to ensure good contact.
- Continuity test (advanced): With a multimeter, measure resistance across the lid sensor leads. An open circuit or zero ohms indicates a failed sensor.
- Replace lid sensor or lid PCB: If the sensor is integrated into the lid PCB, replace the entire lid PCB assembly. If it is a separate NTC probe, install a new Gourmia-compatible lid temperature sensor.
