Possible Causes
Stuck float valve, Damaged float valve silicone seal, Misaligned lid lock mechanism, Faulty lid lock sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and depressurized before working on the lid or float valve.
- Check float valve movement: Press the float valve pin from the inside of the lid. It should move freely up and down. If sticky, remove and clean it thoroughly.
- Inspect float valve seal: Remove the small silicone cap from the float valve. Look for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Replace if worn.
- Clean lid lock channel: Food residue around the float valve channel or lock slot can prevent proper operation. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
- Verify lid lock sensor: Some Gourmia models use a magnetic or mechanical sensor to detect lid lock. Open the lid cover and ensure the sensor and magnet/actuator are aligned and the wiring is intact.
- Replace components: If the float valve is corroded or the lock sensor fails continuity tests, replace the float valve kit or lid lock sensor assembly as specified for your model.
