Possible Causes
Failed low-voltage power supply on PCB, Shorted component on control board, Surge damage from mains, Blown internal fuse on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker immediately if you smell burning or hear unusual sounds. Do not continue to operate a unit with suspected electrical damage.
- External power check: Verify that your outlet voltage matches the rating on the Gourmia nameplate. Avoid using unstable generators or cheap extension cords.
- Inspect power cord: Check the cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. Replace the cord set if damaged.
- Open base for inspection (advanced): Remove the bottom cover to access the main PCB. Look for a small fuse on the board and check if it is blown. Also inspect for charred components or cracked ICs.
- Replace fuse only if cause is known: If the fuse is blown but no other damage is visible, replace it with the exact same rating. If it blows again, a deeper board fault exists.
- Board replacement: In most cases of E9 with visible board damage, the entire main control board must be replaced with a Gourmia-compatible PCB.
