  • Confirm correct lid orientation: Align the lid arrows or marks as indicated in the manual and rotate until you hear or feel a positive lock click.
  • Inspect locking lugs: Examine the plastic or metal lugs on the lid and body. If they are rounded off or cracked, the lid may not fully engage the lock sensor.
  • Clean locking surfaces: Remove any food residue from the lid rim and body rim that could prevent full rotation.
  • Check lid sensor: On some Gourmia models, a small switch or magnet near the handle detects lid lock. Open the top cover and verify the sensor is aligned and its wiring is intact.
