Possible Causes
Lid sensor reporting open state, Faulty lid microswitch, Misaligned lid hinge, Broken actuator on lid or body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always ensure the lid is properly closed before starting pressure modes. Unplug before disassembly.
- Re-seat lid: Remove and reinstall the lid (on removable-lid models). Make sure the hinge pins are fully seated and the lid can close evenly.
- Test sensor response: With the unit plugged in and idle, gently open and close the lid while watching the display. It should change state. If it always shows OPEN, the sensor is not switching.
- Inspect actuator: Look for a small plastic tab or cam on the lid that presses the body switch. If broken, the switch will never register closed.
- Switch test (advanced): Access the lid switch from inside the housing and test continuity with a multimeter while pressing it. Replace if it does not change state.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new lid switch or lid assembly as required for your Gourmia model.
