Possible Causes

Food residue around float valve, Bent float valve pin, Residual pressure not fully released, Deformed float valve gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Never force the lid open. There may still be pressure inside.

  • Check for steam: Gently move the steam release valve to Vent. If steam escapes, wait until it stops completely.
  • Tap float valve: Use a wooden spoon to gently tap the float valve pin from the outside to free it if stuck.
  • Cool the cooker: Allow additional time for the cooker to cool; internal pressure drops as temperature falls.
  • Clean float valve: Once open, remove the float valve and clean the pin and channel thoroughly. Replace the silicone cap if deformed.
