Clock or timer resets to default when unplugged or after brief power interruptions.

Note: Many Hamilton Beach multicookers do not retain time settings when unplugged; this can be normal.

• Check manual: Confirm whether your model is designed to retain clock settings.
• Avoid unplugging: Leave the unit plugged in if you want to preserve the clock.
• Control board repair (advanced): If the model should retain settings but does not, the backup capacitor or memory circuit on the main control PCB may have failed and the board should be replaced.
