Possible Causes
Burned-out heating element in heating plate, Open thermal fuse, Loose or burnt heater wiring, Failed heater relay/triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and wait for it to cool. Only perform electrical tests if you are qualified.
- Test for warmth: Start a Sauté or Brown mode and feel (carefully) if the plate warms at all. If not, proceed to internal checks.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom cover and inspect heater wires and connectors for burns or looseness.
- Measure heater resistance: Disconnect heater leads and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed heating element.
- Check thermal fuse: Test the thermal fuse for continuity. Replace if open.
- Control board: If heater and fuse are good, the main control PCB heater driver is likely faulty and must be replaced.
