Possible Causes

Open or disconnected main temperature sensor (NTC) on heating plate, Damaged sensor wiring harness to control board, Failed NTC thermistor on heating plate, Faulty main control PCB temperature input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool completely before opening or touching internal parts.

  • Power reset: Unplug the unit for 10–15 minutes, then plug back in and try a simple program (e.g., Warm). If E1 clears temporarily but returns, the sensor circuit is likely faulty.
  • Inspect bottom sensor wiring: Remove the inner pot and look at the center of the heating plate. From underneath (after removing the bottom cover), locate the small round temperature sensor (NTC) clipped to or embedded in the heating plate. Check that its wires are firmly connected to the harness and not pinched or broken.
  • Check connector at control board: With the bottom cover removed, trace the sensor wires to the main control PCB. Reseat the connector by unplugging and plugging it back in. Look for corrosion or burnt spots on the board.
  • Test the thermistor (advanced): Using a multimeter set to resistance (ohms), measure the NTC sensor at room temperature. Typical NTCs will read between 50k–100kΩ at ~25°C (exact value varies by model). An open circuit (infinite resistance) or 0Ω indicates a failed sensor.
  • Replace faulty parts: If the sensor is open or physically damaged, replace the bottom temperature sensor / NTC assembly. If the sensor tests good but E1 persists, the main control PCB may need replacement.

If you are not comfortable opening the unit or using a multimeter, contact a qualified appliance technician.
