Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted keypad button, Moisture under control panel overlay, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and control board, Firmware glitch on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker before working on the control panel.
- Power cycle: Unplug for 10–15 minutes, then plug back in. Sometimes this clears a temporary keypad error.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually and ensure it moves freely and returns. If any button feels stuck, gently work it free and clean around it with a slightly damp cloth (do not let liquid enter the panel).
- Dry moisture: If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, allow it to dry for several hours. You can place the unit in a warm, dry area. Do not use high heat.
- Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the outer housing to access the control panel. Reseat the flat ribbon cable between the keypad and the main control PCB.
- Replace control panel or PCB: If 'Err' persists and some buttons do not respond, replace the control panel keypad assembly. If the keypad is good but the board misreads inputs, replace the main control PCB.
