Possible Causes
Firmware calibration issue, Faulty temperature sensor reading low, Poor thermal contact between pot and plate, Warped inner pot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before internal checks.
- Use less time on Warm: Manually reduce the time food stays on Keep Warm, or turn it off when not needed.
- Check pot and plate: Ensure the inner pot and heating plate are clean and flat.
- Replace inner pot: If the pot is warped, replace it with a genuine Hamilton Beach inner pot.
- Sensor replacement: If overheating persists, replace the bottom temperature sensor (NTC). If that fails to correct it, the main control PCB may need replacement.
