Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Unplug and allow the unit to cool and depressurize before servicing.

• Verify valve position: Ensure the steam release valve is in the correct Sealed position for pressure cooking.
• Inspect and replace sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid. If it is loose, cracked, or hardened, replace it with a genuine Hamilton Beach lid sealing ring.
• Clean lid rim and body rim: Wipe both surfaces thoroughly to remove food residue or rice grains.
• Check float valve gasket: Remove the float valve and its silicone cap. Replace the cap if it is deformed or brittle.
