Possible Causes

Failed bottom NTC temperature sensor, Loose NTC connector on main PCB, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Corroded sensor mounting point on inner pot base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool completely before inspection.

  • Remove and inspect the inner pot: Take out the cooking pot and clean the base plate and central sensor area with a soft cloth. Ensure no burnt food or liquid is trapped around the sensor boss.
  • Check for visible damage: Look at the metal temperature sensor post in the center of the heating plate (if visible). It should be firmly seated and not bent or loose.
  • Access the bottom panel: With the unit unplugged, remove the screws on the underside and carefully lift off the bottom cover to expose the main NTC sensor and wiring.
  • Inspect NTC wiring: Locate the small two-wire harness from the sensor to the main control board. Check for cuts, burns, or loose connectors. Reseat the connector on the PCB.
  • Test continuity (advanced): Using a multimeter set to resistance, measure the NTC sensor. A typical NTC will show several kilo-ohms at room temperature. An open circuit (infinite) or near-zero ohms indicates a failed sensor.
  • Replace if faulty: If the sensor is defective, replace it with a Hisense-compatible bottom NTC temperature sensor. Ensure it is firmly mounted against the heating plate.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the bottom cover, reinstall the inner pot, and test with a short cooking program.
