Display shows E2 and the cooker stops heating during a program, often after preheating.

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the cooker to cool for at least 30 minutes before touching internal parts.

• Check for dry cooking: Ensure there is sufficient liquid or food in the inner pot. Never operate the multicooker empty; this can trigger overtemperature errors.
• Inspect the inner pot base: Remove the pot and clean the underside and the heating plate. Remove any burnt-on residue that may cause hot spots.
• Verify pot seating: Place the pot back and rotate it gently to ensure full contact with the heating plate and central sensor post.
• Ventilation check: Make sure the cooker is used on a flat, heat-resistant surface with adequate space around it for ventilation. Blocked vents can cause overheating.
• Internal inspection: If E2 recurs, unplug and remove the bottom cover. Inspect the thermal fuse and thermostat attached to the heating plate for discoloration or signs of overheating.
• Sensor and fuse replacement: Replace a discolored or open thermal fuse/thermostat with a Hisense-specified part. If the NTC sensor reads abnormally low resistance at room temperature, replace it as well.
• Reassemble and test: After replacing components, reassemble the unit and test with a low-temperature program (e.g., keep warm) before full cooking.
