Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened lid silicone gasket, Misaligned lid, Faulty float valve seal, Steam release valve not in sealing position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and ensure it is cool and depressurized before working on the lid.
- Check lid gasket: Remove the inner lid (if present) and carefully pull out the large silicone sealing ring. Inspect for cracks, deformation, or hardening. Clean it with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Inspect gasket groove: Clean the groove in the lid where the gasket sits. Food residue here can prevent a proper seal.
- Verify float valve seal: Check the small silicone cap on the float valve pin. Replace it if it is cracked, swollen, or missing.
- Steam release position: Ensure the steam release knob or lever is set to the sealing position before starting a pressure program.
- Reinstall gasket correctly: Fit the gasket evenly around the lid, ensuring it is not twisted. Press it fully into the groove.
- Test with water: Add 2–3 cups of water to the pot and run a short pressure program. Observe if steam leaks around the lid. If so, replace the gasket with a Hisense-compatible lid silicone gasket.
