Possible Causes

Failed lid NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring in lid hinge, Loose connector between lid and main PCB, Heat-damaged sensor from repeated high-heat use

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool fully before working on the lid.

  • Inspect lid interior: Remove the inner lid plate (if fitted) and look for a small sensor embedded near the steam outlet or inner lid surface. Check for discoloration or damage.
  • Check hinge wiring: Many Hisense multicookers route lid sensor wires through the hinge. Inspect the hinge area for pinched or broken wires.
  • Access top cover: Remove screws securing the top plastic cover to expose the lid sensor connector. Reseat the connector to the main PCB or sub-board.
  • Test sensor (advanced): Measure resistance of the lid NTC at room temperature. Compare to the bottom NTC; large discrepancies may indicate failure.
  • Replace sensor if faulty: Install a new Hisense-compatible lid temperature sensor, routing wires carefully through the hinge to avoid pinching.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the top cover and inner lid, then test with a low-temperature program before using high-heat modes.
