Steam continuously escapes from the steam release valve during pressure cooking; pressure never builds.

Safety first: Do not touch the valve while hot. Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize before handling.

• Check valve position: Ensure the steam release knob or lever is set to the sealing position.
• Clean valve: Remove the valve cap and clean it thoroughly, including the seat area on the lid.
• Inspect seal: Check the small silicone seal or ring on the valve. Replace if cracked or missing.
• Replace valve: If the valve mechanism is loose or the spring is weak, install a new Hisense-compatible steam release valve.
