Possible Causes

Damaged or missing sealing ring, Debris on lid or pot rim preventing seal, Steam release valve not sealing, Cracked lid or deformed inner pot rim

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Cancel the program and wait until any steam has vented before opening.

  • 1. Inspect sealing ring: Remove and examine the silicone sealing ring for cuts, tears, or hardening. Replace if any damage is found or if it is more than 12–18 months old.
  • 2. Clean lid and rim: Wipe the stainless steel rim of the inner pot and the underside of the lid where the ring contacts. Remove any food residue or dried starch.
  • 3. Check steam release valve: Ensure the valve cap is seated correctly and moves freely. Clean any buildup from the valve and anti-block shield.
  • 4. Verify fill level: Do not overfill past the MAX line. Overfilling can cause food to block the vent and prevent proper pressure buildup.
  • 5. Test with water: Run a water-only pressure test. If E10 persists and you see steam leaking around the lid, the lid assembly or inner pot rim may be damaged and require replacement.
