Possible Causes
Inner pot not in place, Very low liquid level, Food stuck to bottom, Warped inner pot causing hot spots
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Cancel the program and allow the cooker to cool before opening.
- 1. Confirm inner pot: Ensure the stainless steel inner pot is installed. Never operate the cooker without the inner pot.
- 2. Check and increase liquid: Open the lid when safe and verify there is enough liquid. Add more water or broth to meet the minimum line.
- 3. Remove burnt food: If food is stuck or burnt on the bottom, remove the pot, soak, and scrub clean. Do not reuse until the bottom is smooth and clean.
- 4. Inspect for warping: Check the pot on a flat surface. Replace if warped.
- 5. Restart with adjusted recipe: Avoid thick sauces on the bottom; use pot-in-pot methods for very thick dishes.
- 6. If E5 persists with water-only test: The temperature sensor or control board may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
