Instant Pot displays E6 and will not start or stops during preheating.

Safety: Unplug the cooker. Do not attempt to bypass or short the pressure sensor.

• 1. Clean lid components: Remove the steam release valve, float valve, and anti-block shield. Clean all parts thoroughly to ensure free movement and clear steam paths.
• 2. Inspect sealing ring: Ensure the silicone sealing ring is properly seated and not twisted or damaged.
• 3. Dry the lid: If the lid was submerged or heavily washed, allow it to dry completely for 24 hours.
• 4. Test with water: Reassemble and run a water-only pressure test. If E6 reappears, the internal pressure sensor or its wiring is likely faulty.
• 5. Professional service: The pressure sensor is mounted inside the lid or base and requires disassembly to replace. Have a qualified technician test and replace the pressure sensor assembly or PCB.
